Alliant claims to want to work with the neighborhood, not withstanding an abortive attempt on their part to push their desired site through the City Council at its meeting on May 4; their request was withdrawn following a community outcry that belied Alliant's contention that the matter was no longer of concern to the neighborhood, according to a report in the Cedar Rapids Gazette.
