Cedar Rapids City Council, Brown Bag Meeting—Part 1—It was a long and stormy meeting. Review of the design for 10th Street SE, including a traffic report recommending that it be made a five-lane throughfare from 1st Avenue to 8th Avenue SE. Suggestions by Mayor-Protem Monica Vernon that the development agreement with PCI be renegotiated on this point, drew heated exchanges among Council members and adament insistence on the part of the representative of PCI that the Council honor the development agreement that 10th Street be five-lanes from 1st Avenue to 3rd Avenue SE.
